So the guy who leaked that Sony wouldn't be attending E3 before they announced it says PS5 will be revealed at a PlayStation Experience event next year and will release in November 2020.
Price is looking like $499.
8-core AMD Ryzen CPU, Navi GPU
Games should be able to hit 4K and maintain a solid 60FPS.
Will also be backwards compatible with PS4. Will def get day one if possible.
Kinda sucks though because Destiny 3 should release in September 2020. And if it's backwards compatible with PS4, then I can't see them having a separate version for PS4 and PS5. Should just not make it available on PS4 so we can get a non gimped, 60FPS version and not have to worry about maintaining parity and fairness to the PS4 crowd playing at 30FPS.
I like 2020 better than the original rumor of late 2019 and the backwards compatibility aspect is something that absolutely should be included in these Next Gen systems.
Price point is steep but I get it. I just wish these systems would go back to the days of having a game bundled in. By the time I get a game or two and an extra controller that price is going to creep up to about $700
Won't be as bad for me because I don't buy an extra controller (but it seems the controller isn't going to change too much if any, so current DS4 controllers will work with PS5 games, supposedly). Miss the free game being bundled in too. I'm sure Sony would say "but it's fully backwards compatible and this PS5 indie game is free with PS+."
