....and the AKA injury bug strikes again. Seriously those guys at that camp need to change some shit up
Daniel Cormier is hurt and out of UFC 197. Not sure if Jones will be held off the card or if they'll keep him on. I say screw rebook the fight that was supposed to happen prior to Jones' trouble last May, Jones vs Johnson. Not sure if the UFC would want to take the risk on the obvious money fight though.
Well Jones will be staying on the card and facing Ovince St. Preux. I can't see anyway OSP wins this fight outside a lucky power shot. He struggles with good wrestlers so I see Jones beating him pretty convincingly. It is also strangely for the Interim title which OSP doesn't deserve in the slightest.
Interesting. Has there ever been a case of a guy who never cleanly lost a title fighting for an interim title? Right now it would make more sense for Cormier to be the interim champion seeing as he has never beat Jones, but Jones beat himself by being as bad at life as he is good at MMA.
Power went out around 4:30 this morning and came back around 8:40. Internet came back around 10. I haven't slept worth a damn though. Basically feel asleep right before 2 and have been up since the power went out. I sleep with a fan so the second it turned off I woke up.
Back on topic....you know Jones is a bit of a prick but man does it crack me up. Cormier made the comment to Jon Jones saying he'd be willing to die in the cage to keep his title. So naturally Jones had to tweet out last night "So much for being willing to die."
Ours went out a little after midnight...been off ever since. Piece of a tree limb fell and got hung up on the lines just up the road, must have caused a short and blown the fuses for the whole street(third several pops while the lights were flickering).
Also just added Cat Zingano vs Julianna Pena. Man I hope Cat destroys Pena. Don't know that I'd call this "epic" like Cat alluded to, but I'll take it.

Crazy deep card, even the prelims on this one is going to have some major depth

Yeah Big Ben is just such an awkward fighter at times, seemed pretty lost today after the second round. Good to see JDS fighting smart. He has taken some major damage in fights and I was hoping he'd get back to taking a more tactical approach
Lyoto Machida has admitted to using a banned substance and his fight this weekend with Dan Henderson has been scrapped. Machida is saying he didn't know the substance was banned but does admit to taking it. The name of the substance hasn't been released.
