It's funny because Werdum is one of those guys who was somewhat wrote off, but when you look at his body of work he really already has had a Hall of Fame worthy career. First off he's only ever lost 5 fights and of those 5 only been finished 1 time.
Then you look at the fact that he has submission wins over Overeem, Big Nog, Fedor, and Velasquez and you start getting an idea for how good he really is. Him moving to King's MMA was huge. His submission game has always been top notch but he is easily one of the best Muay Tai heavyweight strikers in MMA right now. Hell he finished Mark Hunt with strikes, which is insane in its own right.
Crazy how a flash knockout to a UFC newcomer at the time in Junior Dos Santos kind of made us undervalue Werdum.
