Yeah I was hoping they would have it up on the store before the store actually updates for new games later. From some reason the NA store doesn't, so I'm downloading it now from my European account to play a little before Iron Banner starts.
Of course I get the download finished, start making my character, and the server goes down for a one-hour maintenance for a patch:
Items and Economy
Players who receive the First Time Buyer's Pack now properly gain a character slot. Players who had received this pack before this change now also properly have that character slot. Players who purchase the Scourge Warlock Class Pack can now properly reclaim the account-wide bonuses from the Reward Claims Agent.
The "VIP is running out!" pane on the Home Page no longer appears if the player has not purchased VIP.
Performance and Stability
Several stability issues have been addressed.
Loading screen freezes upon login in Helm's Hold, Vellosk, and other maps. For a workaround, click here. Cannot see certain tooltips when grouped.
Just played for 30 minutes and got like 5 purple boxes I can't open because I don't have keys, 8 scrolls of identification, and more green unidentified loot than I saw from level 1 to 10. So much loot was dropping.
They definitely want you to spend money just to be able to carry more stuff.
Really enjoying it a lot, and knew I would. It was fun on the PC despite not playing a lot of it.
I'll be dropping $10 on it. Get the VIP status for a month;
10% bonus to: XP/Glory/Profession XP excludes some professions. VIP zone access (Moonstone Mask) 15% bonus AD on daily quests in Protector's Enclave. Per day (must be claimed each day, opportunity lost if not claimed.) 10 level-appropriate ID scrolls Per Account
Per day (must be claimed each day, opportunity lost if not claimed) 1 free Enchanted Key
That's 10 ID scrolls and a key everyday. Plus spending at least $5 gets you the Beginners Pack for free, and that includes an additional character slot.
I can already tell that I'll be playing this a lot going forward, so I'm ok with helping support it.
As I'm sure many of you are aware, there's currently an issue regarding maps such as Helm's Hold, Vellosk, and a few others.
Currently, once you log out of these maps and log back in, the game will freeze on the loading screen. While we work to fix this issue, we recommend not logging out of these zones when you're in them.
If you already have and are stuck, there are two ways to work around the issue: 1) Log in with an alternate character, then switch characters back to the frozen one. 2) Submit a ticket to our support at support.arcgames.com
We're currently looking into a fix and will update the community once we narrow it down. Thank you for your patience.
I've got my main up to 36. I want to at least get him to 38 by the end of the night, just to open the next award chest.
Also went ahead and created my second character. She's a Devoted Cleric named Asuka; want to build her as a DPS Healer hybrid. Want to get her up to 11 so I can begin doing the invocation on her. Don't plan on playing the character much at all right now though (pretty much just to log in on it each day to get my VIP reward and eventually the invocation stuff).
Want to start doing at least one dungeon a day. The VIP gives a daily Epic Dungeon Key, and those stack, but the Dungeon Chest Key master in the Enclave gives a free Standard Dungeon Key everyday, but you can only hold one of them. Like I can't pick up the free key for today because I still have the one he gave me yesterday.
I've now sold five things through the Auction House:
Rare Greaves for 53 Diamonds (so I ended up with 49) Ashmadai Treasure Cache for 500 (459) Rare Dagger of Cruelty for 210 (193) Ashmadai Treasure Cache for 525 (482) 10 Dungeoneering Kits for 94 (87)
My character doesn't need Dungeoneering Kits because I have the Dungeoneering skill, so any that I get will just be put up on the market for a few AD.
Those bounty currencies that you acquire from random enemies in zones can be turned in for a Treasure Cache for 10 a cache. It just contains an uncommon item from one of the bosses in the area. Nothing I need or want, so I've just been buying those and putting them on the market. No idea why people buy them for AD, but whatever.
So I'd recommend putting a few of those up, with the buyout price being a little less than what the game recommends, as well as whichever kit that your character has the skill already for and any rare items that you can't use.
You can do this in game to know what's coming because it has a fairly nice calendar system built in where you can even set reminders, but figure we could use a thread here to remind and discuss events.
All times are 12:00pm to 11:59am.

Coins of Waukeen
Waukeen, the goddess of coins and wealth, has smiled upon the adventurers of the Sword Coast. By fighting foes of Neverwinter, thus keeping merchants and trade routes safe, you may gain a Waukeen's Coin Purse.
To participate You must be level 10 or higher and kill monsters that are within 7 levels of you. When they die, collect the special loot which may fall from them.
Rewards You can open a coin purse right away for an immediate reward or you can take several of them to the Truetrader in the Moonstone Mask. There you can exchange them for a Waukeen's Strongbox or even a Waukeen's Treasure Chest, each of which will have a better chance for a greater reward.
Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but as Waukeen tells us, 'Gold comes to the bold.'
Was playing with my brother earlier and ended up using the queue to do the Cloak Tower. Just as we figured you scale to level 12. Loot drops at your level though so that is cool. Each boss gives you 50 Adventure Seals and I got 200 Adventure Seals using my Daily Dungeon Key. Not too bad in length, took just shy of 20 minutes. Only thing I didn't like is when you come out you are still in a group with the person or people you are queued up with. If you were solo you could just leave the group but since me and my brother were already in a group we didn't want a third that was a random. Not sure if it is on a cooldown after an activity but it wouldn't let us kick him either, though he left on his own so it didn't matter in the long run.
Still pretty fun and something we should easily be able to do with Constant or my brother later on.
The dungeon was pretty cool. Definitely need to get in the habit of doing those for the Astral Diamonds and the Seals.
I'm not going to do it anytime soon, but I'll definitely be putting some more money into the game. I'd like to get six more months of VIP just for the benefits of being rank 7, which is immunity to traps (i.e. no more getting injured).
But at rank 4 you get the ability to summon a signpost wherever you are. That opens up the world travel map, so no more having to run for days while getting knocked off your mount. Just drop a sign and teleport away.
I did find out when you are well over leveled for a zone (not sure what the threshold is) you won't get attacked. I was playing with my brother and enemies were completely ignoring me unless I attacked them.
I probably won't be back on until around 9:30 or 10 your time, going to watch some fights.
