Started off pretty good I thought, then there's was a big lull in the middle until the main event. That could be helped going forward by not tying up six guys in the main event or twenty-ish in an opening battle royal.
Glad to see they're bringing in Benjamin and, I guess, Rhyno as well. That will help with mid card depth.
Shocked that Ziggler won. Should be some damn good title matches at SummerSlam.

The battle royal showed just how weak the Smackdown roster is.
Prior to the brand split, that would have been the Jobber Invitational Battle Royal.
With the amount of tag teams that were in it, they would've been better off just putting Apollo Crews in the Six Pack to begin with and then doing a tag team battle royal to crown Smackdown's tag team champions.
When the final four includes the likes of Kalisto (who JBL called Sin Cara) and Zack Ryder, then there's a little bit of a problem.
That said, I enjoyed Smackdown. Was a good little show. They just need to address the situation with the tag team and women's division.
I'm amazed at some of the names being mentioned to be brought back into the company: MVP, Carlito, Jinder.... Shelton.... friggin' Rhyno...
I'm not against seeing a lot of those people come back but regardless of that: The WWE roster is overglutted and I thought one of the points of this brand split was going to be to work with that... and now suddenly we're bringing back a bunch of people that got shitcanned...
I have this feeling SD is going to be taking on the brunt of the either the "has beens" the "old guys" and "the guys we shitcanned but will bring back to be glorified enhancement talent and jobbers" and RAW is still going to be the "better/top show" in terms of priorities.
I hope I'm wrong. I really want to see a good 50/50 brand split with all that it entails.
This is a minor nitpick as I have enjoyed the brand split alot so far, even with SD getting the shaft in terms of talent distribution. That said, it's more than a little ridiculous IMO to be having guys from the other brand showing up on the rival show and attacking people just two weeks into the damn brand split.
That said, I am enjoying the Lesnar/Orton feud, and think it's well done. But the timing of it is just not right. Ideally, I don't want either brand to even reference the other for a good long time, and no cross promotional stuff at all until it gets to be Royal Rumble/Wrestlemania time.
And then Carmella came out with her, as I think you previously mentioned, "what looks like a total rip off of Enzo & Cass" entrance, only to get no reaction and then be pummeled before making it to the ring.
