I didn't put the video up but it's out there, but during the UFC 202 presser there was an altercation between Conor and Nate. Conor was late to the conference and during the first question for McGregor, Diaz got up and left. As he and his entourage were exiting they started throwing water bottles at Conor. In retaliation he started throwing cans of Monster energy drink back.
No official word, but I'd expect the NSAC to hand out some heavy fines. Also allegedly someone may have been hurt and is filling a lawsuit so this could turn into a headache for someone.
As a fight fan I never mind when things get a little physical as it is expected from time to time in a sport like this, but this incident was beyond childish. You simply can't put the public in harm's way.
Tonight is the night. Some of the fights are placed strange but it should be a great card. I understand trying to put more marquee fights on Fight Pass and as a subscriber I absolutely appreciate that. At the same time it's a shame seeing big fights pushed to Fight Pass on a Vegas card where almost nobody shows up early. Lorenz Larkin vs Neil Magny should be on the PPV, especially when you have Hyun Gyu Lim vs Mike Perry on the PPV portion. At worst it should be top FS1 prelim. Hell I'm surprised Cody Garbrandt is on FS1 considering with a win which is pretty likely, he will more than likely be the next contender at 135 lbs. Personally I'd like to see him get another big win, but the bad blood with Cruz is already there and Dillashaw really didn't set the world on fire with his UFC 200 win.
In terms of the PPV both the Co-Main event and the Cerrone/Story fight are kind of flying under the radar which is crazy. Anthony Johnson vs Glover Teixeira could main event most cards and nobody would bat an eye. Plus it's confirmed that the winner gets the next title shot. Cerrone always delivers a good fight and he's looked unbelievable at 170 lbs. Story is no slouch though and could certainly make for a tough fight
Much more calculated fight from McGregor, he did start to tire late but so did Diaz. I do think Rogan was overselling how tired Conor was at the end of the second round though. I don't think he really slowed down until the third and even then he found his second wind in the fourth.
