Currently playing this for review. Comes out March 28th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One (in both physical and digital format). Had never heard of it until I received an email about it, and it looked intriguing enough.
The review is embargoed until the 28th, so I can't really give a detailed impressions of it.
As you can see in the video, it's essentially Diablo. That's not a totally fair comparison, I mean it's not a clone. Made by a small French team, obviously don't have the resources of a Blizzard. But it'll be very familiar for anyone who has played Diablo.
It's got some wrinkles in there. I'm still pretty early (chapter 3), but some worlds have an Exposure element to worry about. I've seen the ice world, but there's also a poison one and a fire one. In the ice world, when you're not standing near a camp fire, your exposure meter goes up. Once it gets up all the way, you're slowed down and you start losing health and if you don't get to a camp fire you'll freeze to death (camp fires are pretty generous though, I only got to the freezing point once and didn't lose a lot of health because of it).
I like Norse Mythology and Vikings, so of course it appealed to me. You can play as a male (Warrior, stronger) or a female (Shieldmaiden, faster). There aren't really Diablo style classes. There are 7 gods you can be devoted to that act like the classes, but you can switch between them. I picked Thor from the start and have been wielding a big hammer, but the last two bosses I faced I switched over to a bow (which is a weapon type of a different god) simply because I've found the bosses to be much easier with a ranged attack.
Lacks four player co-op, and even local co-op, but does have two player online co-op.
