Who else is ready for the brand new season? Season 6 will be starting this Sunday. What are you guys hoping to see this season? I for one would love to see some of the chaos that happened in the comics in Alexandria to happen. From the trailers looks like it might.
"Those that have read Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" comics before will recognize the midseason finale as a possible mirror of "No Way Out" from the original printed source. That essentially means Jessie will be attacked by walkers, and she refuses to let go of Carl's hand as she's dragged down by the hungry horde. As a reflex, Rick shoots the woman's hand and is thus forced to watch her die. Angered by the events, her son Ron picks up his gun and ties to shoot Rick. Carl jumps in front of the bullet to save his father and winds up losing his eye.
Once the shot has been fired, Michonne immediately comes to the defense of her injured friend and kills Ron on the spot."
Also word is Negan will make an appearance in the season finale
From a non-spoiler standpoint I really am curious to see how the group as a whole reacts to Rick now as it seems there is a belief that he is becoming more and more unstable in their eyes.
That's a tough call really. This show has went through like three different executive producers over the years and as a result sometimes has continuity issues. It has moments and episodes occasionally as good as anything you'd see on Breaking Bad or shows of that calibre, but the overall consistency isn't there. I guess, if you're not into the zombie stuff, but want to give it a try, maybe try and selectively binge watch it by perhaps watching the big episodes of each season and catching up on the rest with recaps or whatever.
I think you can like this show and not be a big zombie fan. Its a very human show and very character driven. Several points in the series it gets to where you are caught up in the drama between characters and forget that there are zombies. I would for sure give it a chance.
Also last nights episode with Morgans back story was great. Excellent writing and acting. Really kept you on the interested with only two guys talking back and forth.
Thought last night's episode was decent. The big surprise at the beginning was kind of spoiled by the fact that everyone and their mother predicted it on twitter, and dragging it out through so many episodes didn't really help.
The ending at least sets up some real trouble for the mid season finale.

The opening of the barn, the Rick/Shane showdown in the woods, The Governor's last assault on the prison (despite liking Herschel a lot), Rick against The Claimers, Lizzie looking at the flowers, the Terminus breakout, Rick making good on his promise to Gareth, Daryl dealing with Dawn, and the meeting at Alexandria.

Pretty excited to watch my first live episode tonight. Should be a good one.
Finished watching Fear The Walking Dead, and IMO it was pretty terrible. And not even because of the lack of zombies (save for the final episode), but I find all of the characters to be rather unlikable. In six episodes, I wasn't given a reason to care about any of them.
In fact, I cared so little about them/dislike them so much, that by the time the sixth episode began I was actively hoping they'd kill all of them off and start with a new cast in the second season.
It was pretty slow going on Fear the Walking Dead. I was never a big Kim Dickens fan(though she didn't annoy me as much as I thought she would), but I liked her boyfriend/husband and her daughter. Not sure how I feel about the son. No clue what is going on with the Mexican family or the black dude they hooked up with at the end. Never thought it was terrible though.

The son, Nick, was the worst of the bunch IMO.
After binge watching five and a half seasons to get caught up to watch tonight as it aired, I have to say that it was quite disappointing. Sure, the premiere of the back half of the season should be awesome, but tonight was meh.
