Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, for me, is a pleasant surprise and mostly because I went in with dismal expectations coming off the first two games and saw the various bugs and glitches and complaints. I got the full game and season pass for chump change on the PC and in 9 hours of gameplay so far I've had exactly one glitch: I was in the middle of some frentic sniping and the game froze on me. That's not a bad ratio so far. I'll post more thoughts after Stinger posts his review but I have to say I'm pretty well into "pleasantly surprised" positive territory with this. I grant that I can be more forgiving considering I bought the whole thing for south of $40 and if people go gray on the PC it gets stupid cheap with potential risks.
But really: This is pretty damned good.
I recently finished with Ghost Recon Wildlands which I went into also with realistic expectations and enjoyed it for what it was. It's first DLC, Narco Road, is terrible and should be skipped. Prey is my next big title.
Prey is really impressing me so far. If Bioshock, Dishonored, Deus Ex, and probably a couple of other games had some kind of love child it would be this. It even has a bit of that Alien Isolation level of tension at times.
PSN was running a sale so I picked up Tales of Zestiria for 15 bucks. Never got a chance to play it when it originally came out.
Also ordered Tales of Berseria to play afterwards since it had dropped to $30 (PSN had it for $38). Had been in the mood for a good RPG lately and heard both were solid entries into the "Tales" series.
Will mix back in some Marvel Heroes Omega as well once the Open Beta rolls around
Speaking of games pissing you off, I decided to bail on Dead Rising tonight. Just wasn't getting enough enjoyment out of it to have to keep repeating cases, and then you factor in the time limit aspect and it was just a major annoyance. Controls were also very clunky to me.
Also bailing on Fallout Tactics since I never play it.
Will come up with my next project after the Destiny 2 BETA ends.
