I like the game a lot, but man once you've completed all of the missions and the side missions, there's just nothing to do. It's no longer fun to play solo, in large part because the world so barren (can run long distances and only see a handful of enemies that are zero challenge). It's just do the two daily hard missions and log off.
A lot of folks have given Destiny a hard time, mostly those of us who have well over a thousand hours in it and have completely devoured it, for a lack of content. But at the end of the day, I can log on to Destiny and have fun playing solo. There are things to do, every day. It too is much better when playing with even just one other, but it's still a ton of fun solo as well.
And granted I haven't done the Dark Zone yet, but that's purely because I don't want to go in it solo.
This game needs more to do. A bounty type system would be nice. Encounters should be random events that spawn after you've done all of them, and award something useful like phoenix credits in place of supplies. And when I say bounties, I mean more in the Diablo III style and not like Destiny.
I agree. As much as I like this for what it is and as much as I'll never come within 20 light years of over 1000 hours into Destiny (?!)... yes, Destiny has more going for it and is a bit more well rounded if someone wants to play solo.
This says I have to be a level 30 character to even do it or no Phoenix Credits. Bullet King scales with the player. I'm a 21 and so is he. The guy in the youtube video waxed him in a heartbeat. I am going to see if I can imitate that. (I doubt I get away with it)
EDIT: Hopeless, as expected. I like how I can be killed at the drop of a hat vs these bullet sponge enemies. Not.
EDIT: Just got lucky. Used an LMG. There's a garbage truck right outside that base. I took covered and got lucky. I died within seconds after killing him.
EDIT: Damn it... I accidentally killed them all. So I got about 6-7 runs out of that and it definitely was opening up some worlds for me. Now it's ruined. If you find out about anything else like that in the game let me know.

I don't know when I'll get around to putting in more time with it, but I did play some Division yesterday morning while waiting on the Destiny update to drop.
Like Destiny, it's a better grind now following the patch. They upped the amount of PC you get from killing named enemies, plus added in daily/weekly things (basically bounties) that can reward PC. Yesterday, I got 10 for killing three yellow bars.
And of course the bosses now are guaranteed to drop exotics. So when the final mission is the daily, we're guaranteed about eight exotics (because from what I've heard, they only drop exotics). Takes more materials to craft stuff now, but at least there's a steady stream of exotics and PC dropping.
It's set up where you are rewarded and encouraged to be an utter shit. It's bad news when I see teams of rogue agents joining up and I see a lot of it. Never, ever go in there alone. It's more trouble than it's worth.
I've been stabbed in the back more times than I can count even when I've been somewhat of a heroic asset. The worst is when you got for the extract and just as you're starting to do it, blam, down you go and you lose everything.

I've done DZ one time with my brother, and I don't care to do it again. Only ran into one rogue, and I didn't have anything to lose, but it was enough to let me know that this PVP isn't for me. I have quite a bit of level 31 items, a nicely rolled Vector, and hover 128,000DPS (which I know doesn't translate into PVP damage). Nevertheless, I did zero damage to this guy despite hitting him with a couple hundred bullets.
Just the fact that you can melt level 31 yellow bars and do no damage to another player (doing 307 damage to guy, his health of course never moved) is just garbage. Nothing about it is fun.
My involvement with this game will continue to be running the daily missions, and hopping off.
I really enjoyed the game. I haven't really dove into the endgame as I should have and my gear is pretty under powered but every time I turn around I hear about a new glitch. Then with the major Incursion update wiping out some people's characters after playing I decided to take a break until things get sorted.
Now it's been reported and proven by multiple tests that any gear that adds bonus damage to elites is actually awarding the damage in reverse. So elites are actually dealing more damage. Added in with the fact that by most accounts the first Incursion simply isn't very fun and the endgame is in a weird place right now.

Returned to this today to finally check out the Underground expansion that dropped earlier this month, and I'm digging it. The Underground is more for me. A nice way to farm exotics and for better gear, without the frustration of doing the Dark Zone. In a way, I think Underground is largely Dark Zone for PVE. If you die, you have to start all the way over (like an old Nightfall), so there is some risk.
Need to get my gear score up though.
All in all, gotta say I had fun with it. I can see myself playing a good bit of this in place of Neverwinter until Rise of Iron comes out.
The Division has been out for almost six months, and what an incredible half year it’s been! Through regular game updates, a first expansion and weekly patches, we have put a lot of energy into constantly improving the game. While these efforts have allowed us to bring more gameplay variety, the overall experience has been affected by lingering issues that have accumulated since release.
With Update 1.4 in the works, it has become clear with your feedback and our own observations that our priority should now be on improving the core gameplay experience. For this reason, we have made several adjustments to our development schedule: Update 1.4 will be released in October independently from Survival, and will focus entirely on bug fixing, game balancing and other improvements. Survival, the second expansion that was initially planned for release with Update 1.4 is now postponed to a later date this year. The third expansion, Last Stand, will be released in early 2017. This new schedule will not only enable us to strengthen the core experience before adding new content, but also continuously improve it by allowing for more production time to ensure the quality of future updates as well.
Our focus for update 1.4 and beyond will be on the following:
Fixing bugs, including those listed in our Known Issues as well as many other ones Making loot drops more relevant to the player Enemy difficulty and time to kill Gear Sets and weapons balancing Solo player experience Dark Zone and PvP balancing Quality of life additions based on community suggestions (such as weapon skins no longer taking inventory space) This ongoing effort will begin with Update 1.4 where we will address some of the most pressing issues, such as bugs, loot and time to kill and set the foundations for future improvements such as PvP and Dark Zone. We will make sure to keep you informed of our progress in our weekly State of the Game, and share the complete overview of the changes to come in Update 1.4 in a Special Report livestream on September 13th.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you, our community, for being so openly passionate about the game. Our passion is what unites us and allows us to build a better game together! We remain committed to delivering the best experience possible, and will constantly be looking for your feedback as we shape the future of The Division.
Really sounds like this is a lot more like Diablo now. These changes sound great. Going to have to redownload it and take it for a spin, will report back with impressions on the new patch. Monk, you still have this game?

I'm definitely liking it. The World Tiers is a fantastic addition, much like Diablo's Torment level. I'm in Tier 3 right now, at 197 GS I believe. You have to be 199 to get into Tier 4, and that's the highest one and the HE and Set drops in that Tier will be at max 229 Gear.
Even with my crappy weapons, I'm not having a ton of problems killing elites. I did one of the Daily hard missions last night, and it went pretty smoothly. I love the addition of the Daily/Weekly assignments that award you a cache that's guaranteed to a have a HE drop in it.
I'm trying to get into Mad Max, which has been fun, but since hearing about this patch and redownloading it, I have to say that Mad Max may get pushed back again. I can see this staying beside Destiny now, as it finally feels like the game it should have been at launch. Gotta give props to Massive, they took all the feedback and hate and completely retooled the game and now it's a much better experience because of it even solo. Smart decision to delay work on the second and third expansions to basically re haul the game.
