Titan Quest II has finally been announced.
It's coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, no release window or gameplay shown.
This one, like Dragon's Dogma II, is a for sure day one for me. Can't wait.

I'd also add Enslaved: Odyssey to the West to the list.
Shame it didn't sell enough to get a sequel.

I'd like to see a remake of the first Assassin's Creed game.
It's currently playable in great condition on Xbox thanks to the Game Boost, but I'd like to see a full remake of it. If nothing else, a remaster of it to get it playable on PS5/PS4 and with trophy support. It came out on PS3 before trophies. Plus it'd just be nice to have all of the Creed games playable on PS5.
Would also love a remaster, or better remake, of The Sabotuer. That was a great game and the studio behind it deserved better.
It should also go without saying considering how many times I've mentioned it before, but would love for a remake or just a new version of MAG to come out.
Also kinda shocked that we haven't gotten it, but remasters of InFamous and InFamous 2 should absolutely still happen. Much better than Second Son.

True.
Just kind of disappointing. A straight port of a 13-year-old game shouldn't cost $50. Especially when it doesn't even include the multiplayer, which is still fully playable on Xbox Series and Xbox One via the 360 BC.

LOL.
Not even a remaster, a port. I guess on PS4 it should go from 720p to 1080p, but yeah definitely not worth $50.
It's why it's not coming to Xbox. Doesn't need to. The Xbox Game Boost already has the 360 version running like this, and probably better. And it's like $10.

So I tried Codename Jade beta, and it seems pretty solid. Basically, Odyssey for phones and set in China.
My problem with it is, I just don't like mobile gaming. Especially when there's no controller support. It plays well enough with its touch controls, but I just hate playing like that and can't do it for long.
Should've made a version for consoles and PC. Don't understand why people make "console quality games" for phones and not make console versions as well.

Tribal Combat for Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Bálor WWE Women's Championship Triple Threat: Asuka (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Drew McIntyre Ricochet vs. Logan Paul MMA Rules: Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler SummerSlam Battle Royal
Think this is a really solid card. WWE has been pretty hot lately, and I'm excited for this.
It's a bummer, and a bit ridiculous, that they couldn't find time to get Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus on the card. Biggest female star you have + a legend that have been feuding for months now, and you can't get it on the second biggest event of the year?
Obviously, don't see Roman losing. But I still think Jey would be a great choice to take the title from him and complete that story three years in the making. I don't expect it, but I hope it happens.
Rooting hard for Asuka and Gunther. I like Drew a lot, but don't think Gunther's reign needs to end. Ideally, I'd have Gunther hold on the title and be undefeated until a couple of months after Cody eventually wins the title and then do a Title vs Title match between them. Have Gunther win it and have to forfeit the IC title and do a tournament for it. Just don't think it's the right time for him to lose.
Should be a great event.

www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/state_of_the_game_aug_2023I can't believe Bungie put that out. Folks start quitting the game, they panic and rush out THAT as something that's supposed to do what exactly? They should be embarrassed. Then your engine is absolute garbage then. There have been plenty of games that have map creation feature where players pump out maps quickly. A lot of the times, better than the maps the devs themselves created. Creating maps for PvP shouldn't take multiple teams. It certainly shouldn't take whatever team is wasting time creating the copy/paste seasonal activities that you know are going away. Ritual armor sets being the Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit armor, which is the exact same just with a different default shader. To challenging to create ONE armor set a year? If that's the case, everyone there sucks. Should spend more time learning game dev and less time forming inclusivity clubs and preaching LGBTQ+ and racist BS. Stop acting like a small indie studio. You were bought for over 3.5 BILLION dollars and have about a thousand employees. You certainly don't find it too challenging to create Eververse sets. And let's be real, people don't use the ritual sets or make them ornaments because they're ugly. That's always been a problem in D2, 90% of the armor looks terrible compared to D1 armor. LMAO. I remember a time when DLC meant complete refresh of weapons and armor for Vanguard, Crucible, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult. And a new set like in the Reef with House of Wolves. Of course D1 was a different time and a different Bungie. I have zero interest in their Showcase later this month. I'm sure the trailer guys will do a superb job. They're the best asset Bungie has. But after Witch Queen and most certainly Lightfall, I won't fall for their magician tricks again. Too bad D1 can't get a 60fps patch. I'd play that again. But D2 has just gone straight down the toilet.

College football returns at the end of the month!
I haven't been keeping up with it in the post season like I usually do, but man what the hell happened? Where's all the good week 1 games?
Florida/Utah LSU/FSU
And maybe North Carolina/South Carolina
The rest is straight garbage.
Also, seems like PAC 12 is on the verge of a complete collapse.
I miss the pre-expansion days of the BCS.

I'll check it out at some point.
AC Mirage will be the next and last game I buy this year.
It certainly does look interesting though. I played some of the first one, and did not like it. Then again, I didn't even spend 30 minutes with it, so perhaps I just didn't give it any time. I like Chronus: Before the Ashes though. A completely different type of game but set in the same universe.

Since I didn't post it when it was released a couple of months ago:
Wish a release date would've been announced.
In the meantime, I've returned to the original game. It never gets old.

Actually just started back playing RDR1 on Xbox.
I'm not sure what I want from a RDR remaster. I'd say remade, but it's probably just inherit the aspects for RDR2 that I didn't care for as much. IMO, while I enjoyed RDR2, the first one was a much better game.
If it's just a remaster, that's great for PlayStation and probably PC. But with the boost on Xbox, it's already like playing a remaster of the PS3 version.
There's a sweet spot in between remaster and remake that it's going to have to hit for me to pick it up on PS5.

I'm done buying games. Bought PGA Tour last month, of course it comes to PS Plus next month.

Destiny has a lot of problems. Sure, seasonal activities that aren't interesting being built knowing they're going away is a problem and a waste of resources, but ultimately isn't that big of a deal.
I haven't been keeping up the with the game. Haven't read a TWAB in months. Only Destiny videos I see are the ones that get posted in this thread. But I did see that a new exotic scout rifle mission is in the game today. And upon hearing about that, I never once thought, "sweet, let me hop on and get it."
Of course, even if I had thought that and wanted to, I'd have to reinstall it. But I wasn't even tempted.
It's not any one thing that is driving people away. For me, it's just that the game has drifted to far from what I liked about it. And now it's masquerading as something that it's not, and has become extremely grindy in all aspects. It's just not fun.
And when I say masquerading as something that it isn't, I mean a build reliant/heavy game. YouTuber's love to make build guides and proclaim OP, broken, nasty, whatever. Nothing matters in this game. Getting your grenade back five seconds faster isn't "godly." There's no point in this game where you go from, at level, struggling to do a GM to suddenly destroying it. That happens in a lot of games, where builds do matter, but not in Destiny. There is no "I'm a squishy glass cannon, but can absolutely nuke this entire room without taking damage" in Destiny. It's just not that game. You never reach a point where you can just delete something.
In fact, it's the opposite. The hardest end-game content, weakens you. It's why people play safe at a distance and prefer scouts, bows, snipers or whatever, instead of SMG's or sidearms in GM content. And that would be fine if Nightfalls were hard, but something you just did once a week per character. It's not fun when you're supposed to do it over and over and over.

Supposedly a RDR1 remaster should be coming out relatively soon. Hope it includes Undead Nightmare. Still haven't finished RDR2. I enjoyed it, but to me it doesn't hold a candle to the first one.
Hit level 100 in Diablo IV, so currently taking a break from it until Season 1 begins.
In the meantime, bouncing between AEW Fight Forever, Titan Quest (finally picked up the DLC for it) and started playing Warhammer 40K: Inquisition Martyr. Was enjoying the PS4 version that's on PS Plus so much that I went ahead and bought the Ultimate Edition on PS5 while it's on sale for $20. Having a blast with it.

Shadowkeep and the introduction of the current seasonal model that came with it was, IMO, the beginning of the downfall of Destiny 2.
I'd rather have Curse of Osiris over any of the D2 seasons that have came since Shadowkeep.
Drip fed content mixed with the same seasonal loop isn't fun. The game became a chore. Keep the hamster on the wheel, and even the ones who play it as a job can't remain interested.
Thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars invested in this stupid franchise, I want to like it and play it some. But they killed my desire to even boot it up occasionally. Killed it so much that if I even wanted to, I'd have to download the whole game again because I installed it.
A shame because the core gameplay is fantastic. There is no better shooter, gameplay wise, on the market. Just everything else around it is absolute crap.
It's sad that so many people jumped on the battle royale train, or now Souls-like games, and no-one tried to do what Destiny did. All the so-called Destiny killers (Anthem, Division, Outriders, etc) are third person games with bullet sponges. And in the case of Division, cover-based. Third person isn't the problem (I prefer third over first), but just make a game like Destiny that plays about on par and doesn't have all the BS that Destiny players have grown tired of. But no one even wants to try to do it.
EDIT: And here's the thing about Diablo. I can see my character getting stronger. I'm currently level 85 (100 is the cap). I had a few great drops Friday that substantially boosted my character's damage and survivability. I can now go into a T44 NM dungeon and have no problems slaying enemies 12 levels higher than me.
The loot is great. The core gameplay is great. The progression is great. It's also something you can mindlessly do when no super outleveled. I often hope into a NM dungeon 3 levels higher than me to farm XP, with the game muted while I listen/watch a YouTube video.

Microtransactions in paid-for games with paid-for expansions and seasons is, and always will be, garbage. It makes sense in free-to-play games.
Meanwhile, there's Hello Games with 30-something employees pumping out free updates on the regular for No Man's Sky for free and with no mtx.

Folks need to cut Bungie some slack. It's "pride" month, and as they've told us, this year they are louder and prouder than ever.

Working on a review of it that should have out this week.
I think it's great. I loved 3, didn't care for D2 Resurrected. So I'd say it's the best Diablo game to date. We'll see what happens with the seasons. But I've already got a ton of time in it and have enjoyed every second of it.

The fact that Fable has been in development for years and still can't show any gameplay or even a hint at a release window is absurd. Factor in the ugly protagonist, and I just don't have any hopes for it.
Avowed looks great.
Clockwork Revolution is promising.
Starfield looks absolutely amazing. I will resubscribe to GPU just to play it. I wasn't that impressed with it last year when they showed it, as it just seemed like a No Man's Sky ripoff, but I was very pleased with what all they showed of it today. Obviously, the No Man's Sky inspiration is there, but it's so much more than that. Went from "midly interested" to "we'll see," to now "can't wait."
Could see playing almost nothing but Starfield from release until Mirage releases in late October. Assuming of course the game is as good as it seems like it could be.
EDIT: And I bought the 8bitdo Pro 2 Xbox controller to play Starfield with. It's basically a PS4 controller for Xbox with back buttons. I don't like the Xbox controller style with offset joysticks. Plus it's noisy as all hell too.
