Vince is at least publicly saying the reason for the record breaking craptacular ratings is due to top talent being injured, and while that for sure hasn't helped, IMO, we all know it goes deeper than that.
It's not even, as far as I am concerned a matter of who is or isn't being pushed. This is a rejection of Vince McMahon's tired vision of sports entertainment and a refusal to acknowledge he is, in fact, in the "rasslin" business. He has thus created a product that is so lukewarm that it repels both the hardcore fans and the casual/non-fans alike.
The production of the show is so beyond lazy and contrived, not to mention as stale and rotten as gas station sushi that's been left in the sun by the dumpster for three or four weeks. For starters the actual way the show is shot--remember that fan video of a camera man who looked like he was f'n twerking a few weeks ago, but was just bouncing to match Seth Rollins chair shots? Add that to the usual shaky cam horseshit in every match and the cookie cutter way they have of cutting to commercial on almost identical spots on a weekly basis...
Then there's the talent production nightmare - aside from Heyman or Daniel Bryan, nobody cuts a promo that isn't cringe worthy bullshit. Everything from the way the announcers are produced to sound as bland and uninspired as possible to all of the corporate buzzwords in every promo to little stuff like the way people stand unnaturally backstage in a promo segment contribute to a show that is a chore to watch on the good weeks and literally flaming garbage on the bad weeks.
When you combine this with generally poor booking in the wrestling department, then you have what they have here now. A ratings exodus. It's not complicated. The show sucks. Literally every single thing about the current template of how they produce Monday Night Raw needs to be ripped apart and thrown out.
