So far, we have three matches announced for the two-night WrestleMania 38:
- WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns - Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey - RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair
Really hope it's a Unification match and not simply a title for title match where one comes out a double champion. At this point, I'd say just end the split altogether. The shows aren't different enough, they have the same authority figures, and both tag and women's division suffer from lack of depth.
They won't, but they could even have the winners of the two women's matches face each other during night two to unify those titles.
I could see Bobby Lashley getting added to the Lesnar/Reigns match. Seems like a match Lesnar needs to win, and Lashley being in it would allow Roman to lose the title without actually taking the L himself.
Rumors of Kevin Owens against Stone Cold and was a report of WWE trying to get Shawn Michaels against AJ Styles. I can see Austin coming in for a quick match, but I don't see HBK doing it. Makes sense that he might be down to do it just so that crap tag match isn't remembered as his last match, but we'll see. AJ wants to face Edge; they should give him that match.
I hated marathon WrestleMania's, but I also dislike the two-night stuff. Not everyone needs to be on the card. Likewise, we should already have some indication of what every match at Mania will be by this point. It shouldn't be an event matches are still being announced for one or two weeks out.
EDIT: Seems Lashley has a shoulder injury that will require surgery and he'll be out at least 4 months, so sadly no WrestleMania for him.

I may watch it like I watched the Rumble. No lead in, just a "well, it's WM, so I just going to try and enjoy wnat's in front of me and not worry about the rest."

I'll watch Mania, WWE honestly at the moment isn't doing a lot for me but I like a lot of their talent so it's hard for me not to support them. That said took a small break and been slowly coming back around to watching the shows

RAW's gotten a lot better, IMO. When it's bad, it's real bad, but right now they're doing a solid job with it for the most part.
I try not to be overly harsh on it, simply because three hours is a lot to fill every week and there's gonna be garbage.
Smackdown, which was the better of the two for a long time, has been fairly meh.
NXT 2.0 still my favorite weekly show. I dig everything about that, despite it sometimes seeming like Shawn Michaels has been binge watching Degrassi.
As for Mania, shaping up to be a weird one. Not a fan of two night events, though I suppose it is better than a six hour show. Austin Theory vs. Pat McAfee, Sami Zayn vs. Johnny Knoxville, The Miz & Logan Paul vs The Mysterios... just goofy.

I have not watched the weekly TV in so long. I just keep up with Youtube clips and check in on the occasional network deal--although not even that much since it all went to Peakcock, which is the shittiest app in the history of streaming.
That said, WWE has had a few deals this year that I've been digging. Everything with Roman, Brock, Heyman and Lashley has been great and Austin Theory shows great potential.

So what is the deal with Austin? Is he wrestling a match or just doing an appearance and giving KO a stunner?

Supposedly the plan is for the KO Show to turn into a brawl, they just don't want to advertise it as a match. But should be more involved than talking and a stunner.

Well, as lapsed a fan as I am I believe I will take advantage of having no work this weekend and watch this two night (still not a fan of that) extravaganza and eat some buffalo chicken dip in the process.
Edge vs AJ, Pat vs Theory, Austin/Owens and Brock and Roman have my interest.

Cody Rhodes as surprise opponent for Seth?

I gotta say, the Paul brothers are natural heels and Logan did pretty good in that match.
Nothing has been off the charts good but nothing has stunk out the joint so far.

Cody Rhodes as surprise opponent for Seth? If its not him then I don't know who unless they pull a mega surprise with Rock or something.

Cody got a nice reaction. He was really in a weird spot there at the end of his AEW run. Hopefully this works out and gives him a good main event run.

Great night.
Bummer about Boogs.
Becky/Bianca was great. Seth/Cody was great. Charlotte/Ronda was pretty good as well.
I had a smile on my face from the moment Kevin Owens came out until the show went off. Austin went above and beyond. Great brawl, fantastic moment. I was sports entertained.
Pumped for Night 2.

Austin and Owens was about as good as you could hope for----the storyline leading into it was kinda shakey but in the moment it worked because Austin is as over as over can get and this was Texas after all. Also in a big way this was really the proper send off we'd all been wanting for many years. Great job by KO of being a heat getter and bump machine.
Not a bad match the whole night.

The entire Austin thing was handled perfectly all things considered.

Gotta be happy for Kevin. Of course, there are those that will complain that he lost to an old man who hasn't wrestled in 19 years, but who honestly cares?
Lot of Internet fans were angry at Kevin and calling him a moron for resigning with WWE instead of joining friends in AEW. Taking nothing away from AEW, and putting aside the seven figures WWE is paying him a year, last night was probably enough to make him more than happy to have resigned.
He got to do something, as a lifelong fan, that AEW could have never given him... a WrestleMania main event against one of his favorite wrestlers growing up and one of last match of one of the most popular superstars ever.

Those people don't get it. Kevin does. He was Austin's last, true, sign off/farewell opponent. It was good stuff and fun.
So what happens to Seth Rollins with this continued "losing streak."

I just want Seth to take a few months break and come back as basic Seth. Joker Seth is the drizzling shits. Pretty much every gimmick he's had since King Slayer era has been over the top hokey crap that's beyond his ability to pull off. Seth can be a decent heel or babyface but the zany costume ball BS needs to end and never be brought up again.
