I am absolutely all over this day one. Have been looking forward to it for a long time.
Loved the first one. For me, most fun combat in any RPG ever.

Since I didn't post it when it was released a couple of months ago:
Wish a release date would've been announced.
In the meantime, I've returned to the original game. It never gets old.

This and Titan Quest II are my two most anticipated games. The only two games that I will be pre-ordering.
I'd put EA Sports College Football up there too, but I've no faith in current EA.

I'm still pumped for it, but I think I'm backing off of it from day one. We'll see. It's going to come down to what additions get added to WWE 2K24's MYGM mode, because if I get WWE then I'll get the digital deluxe edition and would rather not pay almost $200 for two games in a two-week span.

Eh, who am I kidding? I've been looking forward to this since December 2013 when I platinumed the first game on PS3. It's been one of my favorite games ever since and one I frequently return to (playing again now actually).
Of course I'm there day one.
Will probably start as a Thief since that's basically a Strider (my favorite) without the ability to use a bow. Will probably end up being a Warfarer though. Will make my Pawn basically be a clone of my character (though Thief all the way through since Pawn's can't be advanced vocations), that way it's basically a representation of my character in other people's games.
EDIT: Also a really great time to have returned to the first game. Seems lots of folks are playing it. In two days since I fired it back up, my pawn has been used by over 30 others and netted me over 300,000 RC so far. In all my playthroughs of the game on PS4, I've never seen that. That's around the rate it was back when I first played on PS3 when it was free on PS+.

ACG is a very good and balanced reviewer. I have him on my shortlist. The strong positive feedback is already flying around and I'm looking forward to it.

That video is extremely accurate. That's the way it was for me in the first game and it finally burned me out. I'm hoping that doesn't happen here. This game has some refinements but I also know what I'm in for. A little bit of jank... some performance issues... it's Dragon's Dogma and more of it. I know I will get what I want out of it if I can get along. It's worth the gamble. Melee classes have targeting issues for now so might want to be aware of that. It's not lost on me that even when I see and hear videos with a number of valid criticisms and caveats they still come down with scores like 9/10 and "organic" and "never like this before" and "no one will have the same experience as someone else" and "like LOTR when they first head out and the whole world is open to them" and so on. That's just what the doctor ordered.

Absolutely loving this.
Not necessarily a big fan of the needing to camp/rest to fully heal system, but I get it. The first one was very easy if you kept healing stuff on you since you can pause in combat and use it instantly.
That's not really a complaint, just going to take some getting used to. This is for the most part everything I've hoped for the past 12 years of wanting this game.
Pawn and I are both currently level 16, rank 6 Thieves.
Pawn ID is 2RP3DHTFUTCH
EDIT: It just keeps getting better. Exploring the world and the combat is just fantastic.

I'm still learning a few things but overall pretty happy with it. I'm definitely going to get what I want out of it. Getting overencumbered is far too easy to have happen and the game's economy is suffering from hyperinflation.

Yeah the economy is definitely based on endgame and not at all friendly in the beginning and I'm assuming middle either. I love the pawn banter so much more in this one. It's not just "wolves hunt in packs" a thousand times. The little fist bump/high five after an encounter is a nice touch as well. Can't help but LOL at the "we're all women" and "my last master only hired female pawns" comments. They know their audience. I hire female pawns almost exclusively. Hell mine currently has the ranger bottoms on (it somehow gave higher defense), which has her ass (in all its splendor) out. The purple hired Western devs that think female characters should be ugly would be screeching if they saw her. Kinda makes me wish I would've gone with my first Arisen, which was female, instead of creating a male Arisen and naming it after me. Like the Stellar Blade devs, "we spend a lot of time working on Eve's ass because its third person and what the player will see the most."
