Cody Rodes in a war games match just makes too much since. I will always insist Survivor Series should be nothing but traditional SS matches, with a war games main event. Make it different.

AEW has been such a rollercoaster from the start of building good momentum and then just falling apart once or twice a year with situations mostly created by a lack of a real boss at the helm. Tony flies back and forth between "everybody's little buddy with the big checkbook" to enranged manchild.... I've almost TNA'd them in my mind, and just try to enjoy the matches and not think about the surrounding nonsense.

Ignoring Punk and his drama and BS, Tony Khan's "I was afraid for my life" speech was maybe the most hilarious thing I've ever heard on a wrestling program.
Dude obviously never watched Punk in the UFC.... LOL

I really want to dislike Logan Paul but every time he's in the ring I just have to tip my cap. Things are building steady to what I presume is Wrestlemania 40's main event rematch of Cody and Roman. No way Reigns was losing the title here, and Cody beating Brock should be the end of this part of the journey. Now what do you do with both guys to keep them in interesting programs until next spring?

Ooof, scary bump by Sting on the last AEW show. No idea why he'd agree to that spot spot at over 60 years old. Could have been bad.

I'm not saying it would fix all of AEW's problems, but imagine a world where for the past four years of AEW that TK was only just a name that you knew was the money man behind all of this and he was never involved in any public relations or on air stuff and instead you had someone in position as the CEO or CFO or whatever label, who could be the figure head and not look like a 12 year old on coke.

Just going from purely from speculation, this "feels" basically like a half-ass solution to the problem of CM Punk and the Elite guys not being able to get along, and instead of Tony growing a pair and saying you don't have to be friends, but you take my money, you work with who you're told etc... he decides to create a second or third counting ROH, brand within a brand. It's madness.

Gunther/Dragunov absolutely needs to happen on the main roster. Dragunov being the one to end the historic IC title reign would be fitting.

I may check out a show or two and give them a chance, but so far, AEW has been like a big budget version of early days TNA for me. There are some incredible matches and great moments, but you sure gotta wade through a lot of BS to get to it.

Triple H gave us one great 6 to 8 months. You could feel the mood change from the first Raw after the sale.

Anyone played this yet? How is it compared to what WWE2k has been putting out the past few years?

After all the drama, the Mark vs Jay Lethal tribute match being allowed on last week's AEW show was so awesome. Impossible to watch with a dry eye. Great job to everyone involved in making that happen including TK, and anyone who spoke up behind the scenes.

Looks like all the right people won. They have needed to pull the trigger on Rhea for a while. She has by far the biggest buzz of all the women and has had for a while.
Cody's return has been booked perfect. Even his hiatus from injury worked out for the best in the long run.
The Sami stuff has been great, been following that on youtube clips.
I'm guessing they are building to Sami and KO vs USOs and Roman vs Cody at Wrestlemania.
Or if they wind up making Roman vs Rock or Roman vs Austin happen then they need to get the belt off him before Wrestlemania because Cody needs to be fighting for the WWE title at that show somehow.

Just horrible news.
That trilogy with FTR last year was one for the ages. The Briscoes are high on the list of the best tag teams of the last 20 years and without question the best team to never appear with a major corporate promotion, even one bought ROH.
Also if reports are true, shame on warner media/TBS for not allowing even a brief tribute to Jay on their show, especially after they allowed a literal bank robber ex-convict to wrestle there.

NBC seems to be the least bad of a bunch of bad options.
News going around that the Khans (Tony's dad) are interested which from a pure chaotic entertainment POV would be, very interesting.

I didn't think anything could top the crazy news we saw last year, but 2023 has already done it in the first 2 weeks of the year. I presume everyone has been following the Return of the Chairman saga, and the potential sale of the company. Heavily rumored to be the Saudis, but nothing confirmed from any real credible news outlets.

In the future, if Survivor Series had two traditional SS matches, two war games, and then some singles and tags, that would be just about perfect for me. Although, I'd love to see a return to a straight traditional all elimination matches and then have your main event match be the War Games.

Recently purchased MLB the Show 2022. Overall pretty much the same game I remember from the time I had it five or so years ago. It satisfies the baseball fix. One thing I wish they had worked out better is an annoying glitch/oversight in career mode/Road to the Show. Once your player gets old enough your agent asks you after each season if you want to hang em up and retire, and if you select yes, you get some neat cutscenes to cap off your career but then at the end of the next season you are always offered a new contract and/or forced to try out for a team at spring training until you finally hit about 48 years old and you get the message that you are old and no team wants you. Really annoying and not something I remember being like that in previous games. Those cutscenes I mentioned get less and less amusing after your 3rd or 4th farewell year lol... Game tries to make you the Terry Funk of baseball.

The Ariel Helwani/TK dust up was real interesting. TK went on expecting to do a puff interview and Ariel called him out on it and heads are exploding all over twitter.
The Good Brothers, I'm neither high or low on them. They have suffered serial mis-use but they were never over to a massive degree anywhere I've seen them including NJPW except as bodies in the Bullet Club, which is well past its sell by date. They were jobbed out by the WWE, then basically used as lackeys by Omega and the Bucks and then cast off into the abyss of TNA and now back in WWE to hang out with AJ because it sorta fits his thing with Balor, who is now fueding simultaneously with AJ, Edge, Rey Mysterio and the 1985 Denver Broncoes.

It is. And seriously, how much drama is Sammy gonna be in the middle of? Yeah, says he wants to rape Sasha (even jokingly, extremely not cool and stupid to say) gets himself slapped by Kingston and then this mess. If he didn't catch Tony Khan engaged in a compromising position, his continued wrist slaps just baffles me.
