It's that time again!
Outside of a couple of games though, it's a pretty weak schedule for Week 1.
Oregon/Georgia and Notre Dame/Ohio State should be good.
Also have hopes that Arkansas/Cincinnati and Utah/Florida will be good ones.

I caught at least most of the Nebraska/Northwestern game this past weekend. Unless something drastic happens, Scott Frost is not surviving the season.

Missed all the games played over the weekend due to being out of town.
Gonna flip between West Virigina/Pittsburgh and Tennessee/Ball St tomorrow evening.

Alabama played sloppy and looked terrible but was still an enjoyable/good game.
Texas played well with a backup QB.
I actually like to see games like this from time to time. More entertaining than a blowout, but certainly frustrating. The good thing for Bama is that they still won. For how poorly they played on offense (and how good Texas was on defense until the 4th), and how penalty ridden Bama's defense was, they still managed to keep it close and then come back and win 20-19 when they needed too. That's a good win.
Can't play like that every week, but a win is a win. A LOT of stuff they need to work on.
Also really enjoyed the App State/Texas A&M game and what little I saw of Marshall/Notre Dame. I always root for SEC teams against non-conference teams, but I do enjoy the underdog getting the win. Good for App State, and Marshall.
Tenn/Pitt also been really good.
All around, with games still to be played, it's been a great/entertaining week of football.

Anybody else feel like college football is going to shit (like most everything else today)?
Transfer portal and NIL is killing it. Playoffs expanding adding to it.
I still think the BCS was a mostly good system. Certainly better than a 12-team playoff will be, especially one that automatically qualifies "power 5" conference champions.

I don't mind the expanded playoff, though not sure how you go from 4 to 12. But unrestricted transfers and NIL just means the rich get richer and the only hope everyone else has is their players show off well enough trying to draw interest from the blue bloods and big money NILs.
