Bayley vs Iyo Sky for the WWE Women's Championship is going to be a fantastic match. I'd be ok with that being the main event of Night 1.
Positive out of the way.
Does anyone want to see Seth vs Cody AGAIN and Rock vs. Roman?
Damn, I feel bad for Cody and also Triple H. Seems like he's getting the rug pulled out from under his booking because Rock is on the board, chumming it up with the TKO guys and politicking hard. Now there's rumors suggesting Rock has been pitching for him to beat Roman for the belt.
Who wants that? The biggest waste of all time. Bigger waste than having Brock Lesnar end the streak. Not that Roman's reign is impressive considering they've booked him to lose every match but sneak out a win because of multiple family members getting involved every time.
What was the point of Cody even winning the Rumble? I know they couldn't have known Punk was going to get hurt, but they had to know this crap with the Rock was coming.

Bizarre booking. In the post Vince era I would have thought it would have started to improve.

It's a strange new world. The Rock hasn't been doing his public image a lot of favors this past few years, the Black Adam debacle, the bizarre out of touch statements after the Hawaii volcanoe etc, and now he shoe-horns himself into this... I'd be perfectly fine with Rock vs Roman, even at Mania, but do completely screw over the main event you've spent a year, or nearly two years going back to the original Cody promo building up is just insanity.

This has to be a plot twist in an attempt to re-create the Daniel Bryan/Yes Movement type of thing. Or if it's not, they better figure out a way to shift to that quick.

And looks likes that's what has happened. I would be interested to know if this was A. A long planned out deal to build more support for Cody or B. A giant miscalculation that they had to backtrack and fix as quickly as possible.

Being WWE I would lean towards B.

I'd lean towards B, but I also don't think Triple H is an idiot. I can see Rock and Ari being out of touch, but Trips knew what he was doing when Cody pointed at Roman after winning the Rumble.
The only dumb part, if it were planned (and why I lean towards B) is having Cody say "not at WrestleMania."
Probably somewhere in the middle. Rock/Ari and other suits probably thought one thing, Trips smart enough to know the backlash it would have and that they'd need to pivot. I'd be inclined to believe, in Hogan speak, that Trips worked a shoot into a work brother.

Heel Rock has been a pretty strange, but good use of him since the first option crapped the bed.
I may be wrong but it looks like for Mania we're getting
Becky vs Rhea - solid Cody vs Roman on night 2 Cody & Seth vs Roman/Rock on night 1 Seth vs Drew on night 2 for Seth's title
And Gunther vs either Gable or Bron Breaker for the IC title, either of those I'd be totally fine wiht.

How's everyone been digging the Cody/Rock storyline these past few weeks?

Seems pretty strong. Waiting to see what swerves come out of it. Does Rock betray Roman? Does Seth betray Cody? It seems like they have been trying for a "yes movement" type vibe and general storyline so far as Cody is concerned.

Last year's main event was a great match with a screwy ending. This year it was a screwy match with a great ending lol, but that was one of the all time great celebrations and moments.
Now, I hope WWE will do this title reign right. We haven't had a true babyface flag carrier in WWE since Cena. They did try hard with Roman at one point but even then a lot of stop and start until he found his true niche as the Tribal Chief---all the other babyface champions were never in the position as the real face of the company like Cody is at this moment.
