I mean, if nothing else it got people talking about them, again, I guess. But the whole deal with the All In footage, regardless of how one feels about Mr. Brooks, was one of the biggest self-owns I've ever seen in the history of wrestling. Made the entire promotion come off as low rent and bush league.... Tony Khan is his own worst enemy and no one is willing to risk their gravy train ride to tell him so.

Last year's main event was a great match with a screwy ending. This year it was a screwy match with a great ending lol, but that was one of the all time great celebrations and moments.
Now, I hope WWE will do this title reign right. We haven't had a true babyface flag carrier in WWE since Cena. They did try hard with Roman at one point but even then a lot of stop and start until he found his true niche as the Tribal Chief---all the other babyface champions were never in the position as the real face of the company like Cody is at this moment.

I watched Sisu this past week.
What an insane movie. A WW2 epic meets Roadrunner vs Wile Coyote type story, that is, if the Roadrunner was also the supernatural Ghost of Rambo and Wile Coyote was a platoon of Nazis who get dealt with quicker than an eastern European gangster who side-eyes John Wick's dog. Wild movie. Quite enjoyable if you're up for the ride.

How's everyone been digging the Cody/Rock storyline these past few weeks?

I need to finally watch Stranger Things with the wife one of these days. It's been one of "her shows" forever. When we were in Texas a few years ago we even went to one of those little pop-up stores they had at a mall near Dallas.
Most recently watched a movie called Finestkind starring Tommy Lee Jones being an old salty badass (although he doesn't get enough screen time) and his two kids being likable but general morons whose dumbassery pull him into the kind of things these sorts of movies generally result in. Was a decent time killer.

Heel Rock has been a pretty strange, but good use of him since the first option crapped the bed.
I may be wrong but it looks like for Mania we're getting
Becky vs Rhea - solid Cody vs Roman on night 2 Cody & Seth vs Roman/Rock on night 1 Seth vs Drew on night 2 for Seth's title
And Gunther vs either Gable or Bron Breaker for the IC title, either of those I'd be totally fine wiht.

This has to be a plot twist in an attempt to re-create the Daniel Bryan/Yes Movement type of thing. Or if it's not, they better figure out a way to shift to that quick. And looks likes that's what has happened. I would be interested to know if this was A. A long planned out deal to build more support for Cody or B. A giant miscalculation that they had to backtrack and fix as quickly as possible.

It's a strange new world. The Rock hasn't been doing his public image a lot of favors this past few years, the Black Adam debacle, the bizarre out of touch statements after the Hawaii volcanoe etc, and now he shoe-horns himself into this... I'd be perfectly fine with Rock vs Roman, even at Mania, but do completely screw over the main event you've spent a year, or nearly two years going back to the original Cody promo building up is just insanity.

I like the direction things are going and I'm invested in Cody, but the Men's rumble did not quite deliver in terms of being memorable for me. The crowd seemed kind of blah as well. Not sure if everyone was in a haze over the insane Vince news or what but they just seemed catatonic most of the night.

It's almost too insane to believe in some parts but then, it's Vince, so I can't rule anything out. Brock definitely gets a little stink on him from this as well. Nowhere near as much as Vince, but, it's implied that he is either complicit or at least accepting of whatever is going on... Johnny Ace comes off like the dirtbag we've always believed him to be... Although for the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would want a near 80 year old man's sloppy seconds. Just ugh. Had to bleach my eyes and spray down my phone with lysol after reading some of that.

Season 2 blew season 1 out of the water for popularity. They are already working on season 3 for Reacher. Just finished season 2 yesterday. I would rank it slightly above season one but both were great. Starting season 2 of Bosch Legacy now. Have enjoyed the Bosch series a good deal over the years--7 seasons of the original series and now 2 of this sequel series. Just a good old fasioned detective show with some noir-ish elements and a great main character.

1 Men's Royal Rumble match 30-man Royal Rumble match for a world championship match at WrestleMania XL --- Anyone other than Punk or Cody winning would be quite the shock in my eyes.
2 Women's Royal Rumble match 30-woman Royal Rumble match for a women's championship match at WrestleMania XL - No idea here as I haven't been paying much attention to the women's division.
3 Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight Fatal four-way match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship - This should be a fun match, but it would be the shock of all shocks for Roman to lose here. Would definitely shake things up.
4 Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens Singles match for the WWE United States Championship - this should be a 'banger' as the kids say.

I've definitely liked the Reacher series. The Tom Cruise movies were good but very different. This TV series is a lot closer to the books and that character. www.imdb.com/name/nm2024927/ Definitely owns the role. Seen some youtube interviews with him as well, he's a Christian, and not just casually, so big points, especially in this day and age.

Got all caught up on season two of Reacher. I never watched the Tom Cruise movies, and now it may be hard to as this guy in the series owns that role for me now, also, Cruise seems way too small to be Reacher as described in the books. Really good show, keeps it simple, like an 80s action movie turned into a TV series. Robert Patrick is the big bad guy in S2.

I heard somewhere that this game will feature multiple protagonists, like GTA 5, but you won't be able to switch between them, meaning if you want to be someone else, in game, you'll have to start a new playthrough. That will be interesting if not a tad frustrating depending on how its handled.

Lol my wife is obsessed with Stranger Things. Last year they had one of those pop-up stores near Dallas/FW when we were in the area and we went to it. Trippy experience.
I want to see the new Godzilla Minus One flick soon. Seems like it just came out of nowhere and started getting great reviews.

I've definitely enjoyed the Billy the Kid Show, although it's been more of a casual watch. There's been so many movies made about Billy the Kid---Young Guns I and 2, Pat Garett and Billy the Kid, the Kid, the Left Handed Gun, Gore Vidal's Billy the Kid---that was an odd one, and now this, that it's hard for there to be any real suspense. Unless they pull a Tarintino and just re-write history, you sort of know where everything is headed.
Just watched Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. One of De Niro's best roles in a while as the villain, and good overall movie, but the ending felt a little off to me.

What's everybody been watching lately?
I've been catching up on some TV shows I should have watched long ago like Fargo, and Starz has a new western series about Billy the Kid which has been fairly decent and the new season of Justified which came out last year.

Well, that happened. I'm convinced signing Punk was more of an 'F you' to AEW than them actually wanting Punk lol, but it was a moment, and we'll see how it goes. Pretty hard to believe really. Hell froze over. Way after the fact. Is it just me or does it seem like there is a strange revolving door between AEW and WWE? The last few years have been so chaotic in both companies. At first everyone was jumping ship in 2019ish because WWE just had a stank on it, then you had the shakeup with Vince being gone and everyone trying to jump back, and then all the Cody and then Punk drama in AEW, then Vince coming back, the whole saga with selling the company. The last five years have had 25 years worth of crap go down.
